i have a theory.

well it's more of a conspiracy theory, but nonetheless true. ANYWAYS, it's that teachers all get together when all the students are gone and conspire to make the major tests and assignments due within the time span of 4 days. and i'm not trying to be whiny or annoying, but it is so true like it adds another crap load on my life.

t'is all for now, until i go out and find something new to talk about.

P.S: christmas break is soon! soo stoked!

I Would Be a Vegitarian if it Weren't for Hamburgers.

Dress Up The Trollsen Twins!

I seriously would! I'm totally against animal testing and cruelty towards animals; only recently i had discovered that one of my favourite high-end cosmetic companies, shiseido, was still testing their products by means of animal testing when there are more technologically advanced ways of humanely testing their products! This seriously disturbed me, when i read on Peta that they were injecting the zen line of perfumes within rabbits (why don't they follow the way of Christian Dior, seriously?!). Anyways since my mother is a really long time customer of shiseido products she doesn't really have a problem, but i can't even use my cleansing foam without feeling guilty and envisioning dying rabbits!

What i did about it was that i sent a long betrayed (shiseido's like where i get everything, i honestly cannnot believe it) complaint to Shieseido's customer service and gave them a piece of my mind, because prior to discovering this, i really respected the prestige of the company, and the quality of their products! Thank the Lord that Chanel, the Body Shop and Abercrombie & Fitch doesn't test on animals, or i'd probably send a bunch of other complaints, and maybe even protest against this!

Here is a list of companies that do not test on animals (updated by PETA every 2-4 months):
http://www.astrostar.com/DO-NOT-Test.htm, as well as reasons why you should be a vegitarian, or just give up meat for 30 days or LENT when that time comes around: https://secure.peta.org/site/Advocacy?cmd=display&page=UserAction&id=2055

after logging on PETA i am seriously considering on becoming a vegan because that is way more bad ass than vegitarianism.

PETA is NOT brainwashing me NOR telling me how to think, i just believe in what the site endorses, and that is the ethical treatment of animals, why else would i post the link up?

P.S: i can't believe Armani keeps on claiming that they won't use furs in their clothing lines when fully THERE IS FUR IN EVERY FALL LINE.; THIS IS WHY I DON'T WEAR FUR. after watching this video, i went to sleep and cried.

Pledge to go fur-free at PETA.org.

Aristotle once quoted...

...that "A true friend is one soul in two bodies."; i'm also going to quote Shakespeare in A Midsummer Night's Dream that "Two lovely berries moulded on one stem; So, with two seeming bodies, but one heart." (although the latter quote applies more to lovers, but who says a lover can't be your best friend?). Anyways, i agree with both of these significant figures of English Literature, although i think in my case the single soul that is being quoted is split many ways.

i have 3 types of friends; ones i've accumulated through school, mutual friends and the children of my parents' friends; what's weird is that i've known some of my friends since birth until now, or more than 3/4 of my life. My friends are the people that are aware of my flaws, but see them as a part of what i'm consisted of and accept me for them; they're the individuals who see goodness out of all my crappy qualities, which is pretty difficult because i have quite a temper. And i guess the most important quality in my relationship with my friends is that we can still be serious and intimate on many levels when necessary, being there for each other through thick and thin, but still being able to have a freaking good time and laugh at each other's mistakes (mostly mine haha).

I really believe that wherever one goes with their friends, fun will just follow along - like even homework was fun so long it was done with great people! SO i would like to express my appreciation to how i somehow became friends with such awesome people, who have seen all sides of me but still choose to appear with me in public :). You guys made my yesterday, my today and my many tomorrows to come!

*last year we did an english assignment on a scene of "Much Ado About Nothing", so this is the trailer for our epic performance :) ; who said assignments can't be freakishly fun!? i played don jon, don pedro and hero so it was kind of weird LOL

food for thought

How do people have the determination not to eat? i think i love my food too much for that, not to be Gluttonous, or greedy. I'm open to trying every type of food different cultures have to offer, and i love how food can fill you with happiness; it's just something i can't live without- partly because you'll die without it lol - food, food, food (although staying healthy and maintaining your body is essential as well).

i think that it was fate that brought me into my particular family because my parents like to experiment in the kitchen, and not just with asian food, but with american, french, sometimes mexican, and surprisingly very good italian food.

My mom cooks on weekdays, and my dad cooks on weekends. Tonight is Sunday; i look forward to sundays because on weekdays i can never eat dinner with my entire family, usually just my mom, my sister and i because we eat dinner earlier than when my dad comes home. So yeah, apart from spending time with my family, i like to sample my dad's cuisine creation for that evening. Some evenings i had chicken fettucine alfredo, penne, spgaghetti with meatballs, and asian-styled linguine. Tonight i think i had oyster mushroom and pine nut linguine on the side with baked salmon. It felt like there was a party in my mouth and everyone was invited, lol.

Anyways, google the recipe, because i must admit for an asian man my dad cooks rather good italian food.

P.S: bake the salmon, and don't fry it! cuts the amount of fat in it, though salmon is a good source of omega-3 fats.

More to Love!

Occasionally my parents will drive down to toronto, for whatever it may be that they need to do down there, like going to the optometrist, or just visiting for fun; usually they follow an unspoken schedule: go to eat at this pho restaurant on college, then starbucks (there's like one on every block), do whatever it is they need to do for the day, and then go over to Chinatown for groceries and whatever - usually it's around this time my parents release my sister and i to just go and explore, which may sound weird to some of you but i do know my way around ;) - and head home on gardiner expressway.

HOWEVER, i have visited california on several occasions, but only can remember three of the six times i've visited, and in '06 and '08 (i visited when i was 8 but it's kind of fuzzy the memory), my cousins took me out to this burrito place called Chipotle; OH MY GOD, best mexican food i've ever tasted.

Enough with the California nostalgia, i recently discovered towards the end of this summer that there's a chipotle in Yonge and Dundas Square. There's going to be a new stop in my parents' unspoken schedule now! Anyways, whenever you're just down there for whatever reason, just stop by there, I guarantee you it's the best burrito you'll ever, ever, ever, ever experience eating. EVER. Now only if there was a way to get the frozen yogurt fad to canada... :)
